How data is collected

Data is collected directly from you when you visit us in person or contact us by phone, email, social media, or website form.

Voicemails and Call Messages

If you leave us a voicemail, the message may include personal information such as your name, contact number and details about your enquiry or project. These voicemails are automatically forwarded to a secure company email account that is accessible only to authorised Creative Joinery (Chorley) Ltd staff.

Voicemail recordings are used solely to respond to your enquiry or manage ongoing work. They are deleted once actioned and, in all cases, within 30 days, unless needed for warranty or contractual purposes.

We do not use voicemail data for marketing, and it is never shared with third parties.

How data is stored and retained

Paper copies: securely stored and destroyed after 12 months.
Digital communications (email, social media, text, WhatsApp): kept for a maximum of 12 months.
Xero accounting records: retained for the duration of the warranty period or as required by HMRC.

We do not use voicemail data for marketing, and it is never shared with third parties.

Who has access

Data is accessible only to trained Creative Joinery (Chorley) Ltd employees.

External partners:

Xero – accounting platform used for invoicing and payments.
MNA Digital – manages website enquiries and call tracking for lead generation.

All third parties comply with UK data-protection laws.

International transfers

We primarily store data in the UK. Some cloud services (such as Xero) may store data outside the UK or EEA, using legally approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
